Tourist / Family Visit
(L) Visa
L Visa is issued to an alien who comes to
China for sightseeing, family visiting or other private
purposes.
How to apply
You must come to the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy
in Oslo to submit the application; or If you cannot come
personally, you may entrust someone else or a travel agent
to come to the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy in
Oslo to deliver the application; or if you are living in
cities other than Oslo in Norway, you may submit the application
by mail.
Documents to be included with application:
1. Your valid & original passport. The passport must
have at least six (6) months validity left before expiration
and at least one blank page left in it.
2. One completed Visa Application Form with one additional
pass port
photo (black & white or color is acceptable).
If the visa application form is not filled out completely,
correctly and legibly, this can cause a delay in processing
or the refusal of the requested visa.

The regular processing time for the application which is
submitted directly at the Embassy is 4 working days.
For express service, additional fees of NOK 250 for 24 hours
processing, and NOK 150 for 2-3 working days processing
will be charged.
For mail service, an additional handling fee of NOK 50 of
package is charged. It does NOT cover the postage of return
mail. The processing time for the application which is submitted
by mail is 6 working days. No 24 hours processing for mail
service.
How to pay
Please pay by Cash or Check. VISA is not acceptable. Please
make the check payable to Consular Section of the Chinese
Embassy.
Mail Service
If you submit the application by mail, you need to send
the required items as following:
1. Your valid & original passport. The passport must
have at least six (6) months validity left before expiration
and at least one blank page left in it.
2. One completed Visa Application Form with one additional
passport photo (black & white or color is acceptable).
3. Payment of visa fee. If express service is needed, an
additional express service fee should also be paid.

We don't have a bank account for transferring the payment.
All the payment should be sent to us together with other
application material by mail. We accept cash and Check (Sjekk
or Bankremisse). Giro Utbetaling is NOT accepted.
If any of the above-mentioned items is lacking, a delay
in processing or the refusal of the requested visa can be
caused.
Additional information
Usually, the validity of a Single Entry or Double Entry
(L) visa is 90 days from the date of issue, which means
the holder of the visa shall enter into China no later than
90 days from the date of issue once for Single Entry/ twice
for Double Entry, otherwise the visa is expired and is null
and void. The duration of stay of a (L) visa is 30 days,
which means the holder of the visa may be stay in China
for up to 30 days from the date of entry. Any person suffering
from a mental disorder, leprosy, AIDS, venereal diseases,
contagious tuberculosis or other such infectious diseases
shall not be permitted to enter China. The Validity, Duration
of Sta y,
and Number of Entries of the visa is issued at the discretion
of the Consular Officers, whose decisions are based on the
laws and regulations of China. The Consular Officers have
the authority to refuse any visa applications inconsistent
with Chinese laws and regulations, or revoke issued visas.
Business Visit (F) Visa
F Visa is issued to an alien who is invited to China for
a visit, an investigation, a lecture, to do business, scientific-technological
and culture exchanges, short-term advanced studies or intern
practice for a period of no more than six months.
How to apply

for study, advanced studies or intern practice for a period
of more than six months.
An alien who comes to China to study, short-term advanced
studies or intern practice for a period of no more than
six months shall apply for a (F) Visa.

4. For the applicant who will study in China for more than
one year shall also provide a Physical Examination Certificate
for Foreign Citizen.
5. An invitation letter from the host company or unit in
China.
If the visa application form is not filled out completely,
correctly and legibly, this can cause a delay in processing
or the refusal of the requested visa.

NOK 150 for Norwegian, NOK 250 for Non-Norwegian, and NOK
400 for U.S. citizens.

months. The holder of a (X) visa shall go through residential
formalities in the local public security department within
thirty days of entry into China.

diseases shall not be permitted to enter China.
The Consular Officers have the authority to refuse any visa
applications inconsistent with Chinese laws and regulations,
or revoke issued visas.
Employment (Z) Visa
Z Visa is issued to an alien who comes to China for a post
or employment, and his/her accompanying family members.
How to apply
You must come to the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy
in Oslo to submit the application; or If you cannot come
personally, you may entrust someone else or a travel agent
to come to the Consular Section of Chinese Embassy in Oslo
to deliver the application; or if you are living in cities
other than Oslo in Norway, you may submit the application
by mail.

passport photo (black & white or color is acceptable).

Foreign Expert?s License issued by the Chinese Foreign Expert
Bureau. A visa notification issued by the authorized Chinese
unit or proof of kinship, e.g. marriage certificate, birth
certificate, etc, is required for the accompanying family
members. These documents should be original.
